With over a decade of experience handling and storing fine wines and spirits, our facility maintains strict temperature and humidity controls to ensure your collection is preserved at its best.

Competitive storage rates: £15 per 12-bottle case per year, £7.50 per 6-bottle case per year, equivalent to £1.25 per standard bottle. Alternative formats will be charged accordingly.

Quick and efficient delivery: Wines can be cleared and delivered within the UK in 3-4 working days.
Quarterly invoicing for storage fees to keep the process simple and transparent.

Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

This captures so much about St Julien, with its balance, tobacco leaf, smoked earth, melted tannins, blond tobacco, blackberries and mint. It's delicious, from a time when the yields would have been high, and in a year that struggled to reach full maturity, and yet has a balanced charm that shows why this appellation delivers drinkability even when it misses concentration. The smoke is far more evident when you come back to it after a few hours of tasting other wines, suggest not giving it too long in carafe before drinking. A sumptuous, complex, Provencal-like bouquet of roasted herbs, cherries, licorice, and underbrush emerges from this dark plum/ruby-colored 2004. Tart acidity provides freshness, but the overall impression is of abundant currant and cherry fruit presented in a forward, superficial style. The 2004 Talbot represents the style of wines predating the arrival of winemaker Jean-Michel Laporte. A little austere on the nose, there are plenty of sous-bois and tobacco scents, but it needs more fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded entry, but overall, compared to its peers, it feels a little monotone and lacks complexity on the finish. Neal Martin6th June 2024

A Venerable Saint Julien Estate

The vineyards at Château Talbot cover around 110 hectares and are planted with 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot. The soils are composed of deep gravel overlying clay subsoil, which gives the wines a distinct minerality and complexity. The vineyard is managed sustainably, with a focus on preserving the natural environment and producing high-quality grapes.

In recent years, Château Talbot has invested heavily in modernizing its winemaking facilities while still maintaining the traditional methods that have made it successful for centuries. The estate's commitment to quality and sustainability, combined with its rich history and exceptional wines, make it a must-visit for wine lovers visiting Bordeaux.

Beyond the Grand Vin, Château Talbot produces a second wine called "Connetable de Talbot" and a white wine called "Caillou Blanc de Talbot".
