Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the great historic vineyards of Sauternes, world renowned for its long lived sweet white wines that harmoniously combine fruit and floral aromas with roasted, candied notes. The 2007 vintage is a blend of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc. Golden yellow in the glass with hints of amber. Intense on the nose with notes of candied apricot, ripe stone fruit together with waxy, vanilla nuances. Marvellously sweet on the palate packed with very ripe yellow fruit, honey, spices and a hint of wood, all concluding on a lingering orange peel finish.

The 2007 Suduiraut has a well-defined bouquet with quince, Mirabelle, orange rind and light waxy aromas. The palate is well balanced and viscous in texture with tangy marmalade on the entry, fine depth and a gorgeous tangerine, slightly peppery finish that lingers in the mouth. Excellent. Tasted at the 2007 horizontal in Sauternes. Neal Martin4th October 2022
