Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Solaia 2022 is an intense ruby red color with bright purple hues. On the nose, the bouquet opens with aromas of dark fruit: notes of black currants, blueberries, plums and figs unite with floral hints of sweet violets. Sweet impressions of powdered sugar and Gianduja follow over to spicy notes of white pepper, tobacco and quinine. Entry on the palate is creamy and rich sustained by extraordinary freshness and energy. Silky, mouth filling tannins create a refined and tight knit tannic texture that sustains the intense finish with exceptional depth.

This is a classy and very elegant expression. The Marchesi Antinori 2022 Solaia is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller parts Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese. The tannins are beautiful in this wine, very well managed with silky and chalky results. The wine unfolds beautifully over the palate, offering generous richness and seamless fruit flavors that range from blackberry to tart plum. There is never a formula for making this wine, but the best vintages of Solaia show that seamless quality that is a hallmark. You get that here in what is perhaps more accessible packaging. The 2022 Solaia is dark, layered and exceptionally beautiful. Like Tignanello, it has gained notable depth and complexity, especially in the mid-palate. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Franc. The Solaia vineyard covers 20-ha at 350–400 m above sea level. 2022 was hot and dry until mid August, when rain showers heralded lower temperatures. Harvest 23 September to 5 October. Destemmed grapes fermented in 60-hl truncated cone-shaped vats. Aged in new French oak barriques for around 15 months. Deep crimson. Intense and very carefully balanced. Like a precision tool! Impossible to find fault with this though arguably it’s very slightly soulless. Very well made. (JR)

While technically a wine rather than a winery, Marchesi Antinori's flagship red wine, Supertuscan Tignanello, has become an icon in its own right. Produced from the Tignanello estate, this wine is one of Italy’s most recognized and celebrated fine wines. Tignanello is a blend of mostly Sangiovese wines with lesser parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, showcasing the Antinori family's mastery in winemaking.

Situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys, the Tenuta Tignanello vineyard produces these influential wines. Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet), and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region not to use white grapes. This innovation has made it a modern red wine that stands out among its peers.

The Antinori estate also produces a superb Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon Grappa, a full-bodied Bordeaux-style red called Guado al Tasso, and delicate yet refined white wines from Castello della Sala, adding to its portfolio of iconic wines. The legacy of the Antinori family is evident in every bottle of these exceptional Italian wines.
