Duty Charges

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Marchesi Antinori Solaia 2020 is a full-bodied Supertuscan red wine from Tuscany and is only produced in exceptional vintages. Planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese, the Solaia vineyard at 350-400m altitude is based on stony limestone soils and is located in the Tenuta Tignanello estate. Producer note. Solaia 2020 is ruby red in color. Exceptional intensity and complexity on the nose. notes of wild berries, especially blueberries, raspberries and currants that intermingle with sweet hints of plums, black cherries and fresh impressions of mint, myrtle, licorice, and floral nuances of lavender. The rich bouquet is completed by sweet well-integrated notes of cocoa powder and dried fruit that follow over to spicy hints of cloves and pleasant impressions of pink pepper. Entry on the palate is rich and mouth filling then elegantly softens, with velvety tannins that sustain a long persistent finish. The aftertaste echoes notes of mint, licorice and chocolate perceived on the nose."

A great vintage of the iconic Solaia, full of cloves, sage, graphite, grilled dried herbs, underbrush and roasted cherry pit. There's fruit too, bilberry and cassis, juicy and mouthwatering, both understated and exuberant, ensuring a Tuscan fingerprint despite its majority Cabernet Sauvignon construction. Has grip and length, and effortless charm, reflecting an excellent vintage with low yields after a hot dry summer. Antinori family showing once again why this wine, that comes from 20ha the sunniest slopes of the Tignanello estate, set at 350-400m altitude, is so hard to resist. The 2020 Solaia is an infant. I expected a more exuberant wine, but the 2020 is built along more classic lines. Black cherry, plum, gravel, incense, smoke, pencil shavings and spice all open effortlessly. As always, Solaia is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine, but it is a Cabernet that is distinctly Italian, with plenty of Tuscan acid and structure driving through the mid-palate and into the finish. The 2020 is a terrific example of the recent stylistic shift at Antinori. In the past, richness and opulence were qualities of a vintage that would have been amplified in the vineyard and cellar. Today, the aim is to capture a more balanced expression of these kinds of vintages, and that very much comes through.Antonio Galloni1st August 2023

The 2020 Solaia is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in color, it needs a little coaxing to bring out notes of warm cassis, black cherry compote, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cedar chest, unsmoked cigars, violets, and cardamom. The full-bodied palate is densely laden with rich, bold black fruits, supported by a firm backbone of ripe, grainy tannins and jaw-dropping tension, finishing long and lifted.Lisa Perrotti-Brown21st August 2023

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Sangiovese, 15% Cabernet Franc. Harvest 28 September to 10 October. Sorted, destemmed grapes were gently crushed. Fermentation in 60-hl truncated cone-shaped tanks. Immediately after racking, malolactic fermentation began in barriques. Ageing took place in new French oak barrels for approximately 18 months. The various lots were aged separately then blended and reintroduced into barrels to complete the ageing process.Dark in colour and dark in profile. Chocolate, damsons and kirsch. The palate is plush, laden with oak spice and fleshy black fruit. The glycerol and sweetness of fruit completely cloak the tannins, giving a very hedonistic texture. Concentrated and full throttle with a very long finish. (TP)

While technically a wine rather than a winery, Marchesi Antinori's flagship red wine, Supertuscan Tignanello, has become an icon in its own right. Produced from the Tignanello estate, this wine is one of Italy’s most recognized and celebrated fine wines. Tignanello is a blend of mostly Sangiovese wines with lesser parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, showcasing the Antinori family's mastery in winemaking.

Situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the gently rolling hillsides between the Greve and Pesa river valleys, the Tenuta Tignanello vineyard produces these influential wines. Tignanello was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, the first contemporary red wine blended with untraditional varieties (specifically Cabernet), and one of the first red wines in the Chianti Classico region not to use white grapes. This innovation has made it a modern red wine that stands out among its peers.

The Antinori estate also produces a superb Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon Grappa, a full-bodied Bordeaux-style red called Guado al Tasso, and delicate yet refined white wines from Castello della Sala, adding to its portfolio of iconic wines. The legacy of the Antinori family is evident in every bottle of these exceptional Italian wines.
