Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Created in 1994 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl, Sine Qua Non is arguably the most famous of all the California cult wineries and is renowned for exceptionally limited quantities of red and white wines made from the classic Rhône Valley varieties. From the superb 2008 vintage, The Line is a blend of 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah and 1.5% Viognier sourced mostly from the estate Eleven Confessions and Cumulus vineyards, with a small portion from the highly acclaimed Bien Nacido Vineyard.

The 2008 Grenache The Line explodes onto the palate with a rush of dark fruit, licorice and leather. It is a plush, muscular wine endowed with endless layers of flavor that build towards the multi-dimensional, eternal finish. I especially like the way the wine gains freshness and vibrancy as it sits in the glass. This is a striking, breathtaking wine from Sine Qua Non. The 2008 is a bigger, more powerful wine than its 2009 equivalent. In 2008 the blend is 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah and 1.5% Viognier. Roughly 21% of the wine (Grenache only) was fermented with whole clusters. The vineyard sources are 68% Eleven Confessions, 20% Cumulus, 9% Bien Nacido and 3% White Hawk. The wines of Sine Qua Non need little introduction. Mould breaking, iconoclastic, visionary are just some of the descriptors invoked when critics and wine lovers discuss this unique winery. Based in Ventura, north of LA, the wines of Sine Qua Non regularly notch up perfect scores from critics while the waiting list for a direct allocation is well over ten years.

Founded by Manfred and Elaine Krankl in the early 1990s, the duo swiftly gained attention from wine lovers and critics for their superb Rhône blend wines, quirky labels and uncompromising approach in the vineyard and cellar. The winery has experimented with producing Oregon Pinot Noir, dessert wines and an array of quirky single varietal reds and whites, but generally revert to producing the wines for which they are most famous - Grenache and Syrah. The wines are generally big and bold, but those who like things cranked up to eleven should look no further than Manfred's "extended barrel ageing" program.
