Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Sine Qua Non’s Poker Face Syrah 2004 is produced from a blend of 96% Syrah, 2.5% Mourvèdre and 1.5% Viognier, aged in 80% new French oak. The nose is a melange of dark berries and dark red fruits augmented by a smoky meatiness and spice cabinet. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, with a port-like creaminess, expressing - without doubt - powerful fruits. It finishes with a very good length.

Composed of 96% Syrah, 2.5% Mourvedre, and 1.5% Viognier, the 2004 Poker Face comes from Eleven Confessions Estate Vineyard (33%), White Hawk Vineyard (27%), Alban Vineyard (21.5%), Bien Nacido Vineyard (16%), and Alta Mesa Vineyard (2.5%). It was aged for 20.5 months in French oak barrels, 80% new. Deep garnet colored with a touch of brick, evolving notes of baked plums, black cherry preserves, incense, and tobacco leaf tumble from the glass, giving way to hints of dusty soil and dried herbs. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of earthy/savory layers, slowly revealing tertiary nuances, framed within a plush texture and beautifully knit freshness, finishing long with lots of mint and mineral sparks. — Lisa Perrotti-Brown, 4th September 2024

Starting off the Syrah-based wines, the 2004 Poker Face (Syrah) is aging beautifully. A blend of 96% Syrah, 2.5% Mourvedre and 1.5% Viognier (from the Eleven Confessions, White Hawk, Alban, Bien Nacido, and Alta Mesa vineyards) that was aged in 80% new French oak, it offers up a perfumed, fresh bouquet of sweet blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis, spring flowers and licorice that gives way to a full-bodied, seamless, gorgeously textured feel on the palate. Rich and decadent, it has notable, yet beautifully integrated acidity and stays remarkably fresh, detailed and even elegant. The 2004 Syrah Poker Face remains deep, inky and powerful, even at eleven years of age. A host of black cherry, chocolate, licorice and smoke meld together in this dark, voluptuous Syrah. As good as the 2004 is, it's also quite clear just how far Sine Qua Non has come since the Poker Face was made. The blend is 96% Syrah, with drops of Mourvèdre and Viognier. The wines of Sine Qua Non need little introduction. Mould breaking, iconoclastic, visionary are just some of the descriptors invoked when critics and wine lovers discuss this unique winery. Based in Ventura, north of LA, the wines of Sine Qua Non regularly notch up perfect scores from critics while the waiting list for a direct allocation is well over ten years.

Founded by Manfred and Elaine Krankl in the early 1990s, the duo swiftly gained attention from wine lovers and critics for their superb Rhône blend wines, quirky labels and uncompromising approach in the vineyard and cellar. The winery has experimented with producing Oregon Pinot Noir, dessert wines and an array of quirky single varietal reds and whites, but generally revert to producing the wines for which they are most famous - Grenache and Syrah. The wines are generally big and bold, but those who like things cranked up to eleven should look no further than Manfred's "extended barrel ageing" program.
