Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Sine Qua Non A Cappella 2000 is a complex Rhône-style blend from California, crafted by the renowned winemaker Manfred Krankl. This wine displays a deep hue, with initial aromas of dark fruits, notably black cherry, alongside subtle hints of baking spices and earthy undertones. The palate reveals layers of flavour, featuring a medley of graphite, toasted oak and dried herbs. Its structure is firm, with a noteworthy tannic presence, which softens over time. The finish lingers, showcasing a blend of fruit and savoury notes. Sine Qua Non is celebrated for producing limited, artisanal wines with a unique character.

Tasted at Jeurg Richter’s pre-Climens lunch. O.K. I confused my acronyms. I thought it was DRC but no, no, no..SQN. Should have seen that from the ever so slight jamminess on the palate but otherwise I was side-tracked by the sheer quality of this Pinot Noir. Breathtaking definition on the nose. such purity and minerality with redcurrant, kirsch and cold limestone. The palate has superb balanced with pure raspberry, dark cherry and just a hint of citrus fruit on the succinct finish. Bravo Mr. Krankl. Drink now-2018. Tasted November 2009. - Neal Martin

Good medium red. Musky, reduced nose combines blackberry, woodsmoke, nuts and mustard seed, all lifted by a floral quality. Sweet and sappy, with good flavor intensity and extension. The blackberry flavor was initially quite oaky, but this wine grew sweeter and fresher as it opened in the glass. Strongest today on the persistent finish, where the flavors build nicely. The wines of Sine Qua Non need little introduction. Mould breaking, iconoclastic, visionary are just some of the descriptors invoked when critics and wine lovers discuss this unique winery. Based in Ventura, north of LA, the wines of Sine Qua Non regularly notch up perfect scores from critics while the waiting list for a direct allocation is well over ten years.

Founded by Manfred and Elaine Krankl in the early 1990s, the duo swiftly gained attention from wine lovers and critics for their superb Rhône blend wines, quirky labels and uncompromising approach in the vineyard and cellar. The winery has experimented with producing Oregon Pinot Noir, dessert wines and an array of quirky single varietal reds and whites, but generally revert to producing the wines for which they are most famous - Grenache and Syrah. The wines are generally big and bold, but those who like things cranked up to eleven should look no further than Manfred's "extended barrel ageing" program.
