Bruno Clair Savigny-Lès-Beaune La Dominode 2013 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of La Dominode in the Savigny-Lès-Beaune commune of the Côte de Beaune. Based in Marsannay-la-Côte, Domaine Bruno Clair is a critically acclaimed wine producer with 27 hectares of vines across 8 villages. This bottling is from La Dominode – one of the most prized Savigny-Lès-Beaune 1er Crus and home to the oldest vines of the Bruno Clair domaine, planted in 1902. "Good medium red. Raspberry and a touch of herbs on the slightly high-toned nose; distinctly redder than the Marsannays in 2013. Then darker in the mouth, with blackberry and liquorice flavours complicated by a slight vegetal quality. Not bad but I wanted more verve. This lacks the thrust of Clair`s best 2013s from the Côte de Nuits but comes across as richer than the 2014 version, which was more affected by hail." Vinous, 2013
