While Savigny-lès-Beaune is generally known for its lighter Pinot Noir wines (lighter, that is, than those produced further south on the Côte d’Or), the Premier Cru of La Dominode has earned a reputation for producing nobly structured, full-bodied and long-ageing wines. Arguably it is the best vineyard site within the appellation.
