Dagueneau Sancerre Le Mont Damné 2014 is a profound and intensely structured Sauvignon Blanc from the steepest, most famous caillottes (limestone) slope in Chavignol. This wine, crafted by Domaine Didier Dagueneau (now managed by Didier`s son, Louis-Benjamin), is the epitome of a terroir-driven Sancerre, showcasing a masterly balance between power and finesse. The palate is deep and rich, displaying notes of ripe exotic fruit, candied citrus and a subtle but complex toasted brioche character from its ageing in cigare barrels.
