The Ruchottes-Chambertin Mugneret-Gibourg 2008 is a Burgundy Pinot Noir from an esteemed Gevrey Grand Cru. The 2008 vintage faced a slightly cooler growing season, resulting in wines characterised by their freshness and clarity. This cuvée presents aromas of red fruits, particularly cherry and raspberry, coupled with delicate floral nuances and a subtle earthy character. On the palate, it is marked by lively acidity, fine-grained tannins and a medium body, leading to an elegant finish.

Vinous
Served from magnum direct from the domaine, the 2008 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a delightful nose with effervescent red berry fruit mixed with crushed stone and rose petals, hints of blood orange emerging. Fine delineation. The palate has a sappiness from start to finish, fine weight and though not the most complex Ruchottes that the Mugneret sisters have ever produced, it has an engaging pepperiness on the finish that tempts you back for another sip. Tasted at the La Paulée in Beaune.
