Ruchottes-Chambertin is perhaps one of Gevrey-Chambertin`s lesser-known Grand Cru sites, covering approximately 3 hectares. It is situated just north of the famous Le Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze vineyards and planted exclusively to Pinot Noir. This particular release is made from a plot sharecropped between Christophe Roumier and Michel Bonnefond. The 2007 vintage produced low yields but wines of textbook balance, charm and depth.

Vinous
- Good deep red. Sappy, spicy red fruits and smoked meat on the nose. Nicely juicy and precise, showing more spine than thickness. This is quite backward and imploded for the vintage and will need time to evolve. Really spreads out on the back half, dusting the palate with minerality. Structured for a leisurely development in bottle.
