Romanée-St-Vivant Maison Leroy 1976 is a red Burgundy Grand Cru wine from the Romanée-St-Vivant vineyard, crafted by the highly revered Maison Leroy. This rare mature bottling displays profound tertiary notes of dried mushroom, forest floor and leather, defined by its incredible aromatic complexity and delicate, yet persistent structure, reflecting the Leroy philosophy of meticulous selection and age-worthiness.

Hand Picked Burgundies

The Leroy name is a key pillar of the Burgundian wine scene and a leading light in the Côte d'Or, with three main strands: Domaine Leroy, Maison Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay (a small, biodynamically farmed Domaine founded by Lalou in 1988). Maison Leroy was founded by François Leroy as a négociant house in 1868 in the village of Auxey-Duresses and is today headed up by the renowned Lalou Bize-Leroy.

Unlike Domaine Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay, Maison Leroy represents a portfolio of wines selected by Lalou, but not made by Lalou. Vignerons from across Burgundy will submit their wines for evaluation and, following a blind tasting, Lalou will select just a few to be bottled under the Maison label.
