Gros Frère et Sœur is a notable estate in Burgundy, owned by the Gros family, who have been involved in winemaking for generations. The estate covers approximately 19 hectares of vines, and it is run by Bernard Gros and his son Vincent. This Richebourg Grand Cru comes from a 0.7-hectare parcel that was partially replanted in 1985 and 1989. The 1985 vintage was considered very good in Burgundy, producing rich and expressive wines that have aged gracefully. Given its age, the wine now displays a mature bouquet including dried red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, along with earthy, savoury, and spicy notes. Decanting is recommended to allow the wine to open up and reveal its full array of aromas and flavours.
