Quilceda Creek`s 2003 is a mature Bordeaux-style blend from Washington State. This wine is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, sourced from esteemed vineyards such as Champoux and Ciel du Cheval. It underwent 22 months of ageing in 100% new French oak, contributing to its structured profile. The 2003 vintage showcases notes of black cherry, plum and hints of dark chocolate alongside subtle earthiness.

Vinous
(includes 2% merlot and 1% cabernet franc; mostly from Champoux Vineyard) Deep medium ruby. Very deep aromas of currant, minerals, meat and smoke, with complicating notes of chocolate, tar and pastry dough. Tightly wound, penetrating and powerful, with terrific precision to the flavors of dark fruits, graphite and minerals. A very firmly structured wine that finishes with superb length, verve and grip. A stunning Washington cabernet. Paul Golitzin says to start drinking this in 2010.Stephen Tanzer1st November 2006
