Domaine de la Vougeraie Puligny-Montrachet 2023 is a white Burgundy produced from several parcels of biodynamically farmed vines within the Puligny-Montrachet appellation. This bottling is defined by its aromatic precision and a concentrated core of citrus fruit that is supported by a fine-grained mineral texture. The wine underwent maturation in French oak barrels with a moderate proportion of new wood to provide structural weight without masking the chalky terroir of the site. The palate is medium-bodied and shows the characteristic elegance and lift associated with Puligny fruit.

Located between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune in Prémeaux, Domaine de la Vougeraie was founded by Jean-Claude Boisset in 1999. The name was inspired by domaine’s significant vineyard holdings in the village of Vougeot, which is also Boisset’s home. One of Burgundy’s leading domaines, Vougeraie owns about 40ha of vineyard in more than 30 different appellations of Burgundy, including the Grands Crus of Clos Vougeot, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Charmes Chambertin, Mazoyères, Corton Clos du Roi and Corton Charlemagne. The domaine vineyards have been managed biodynamically since 2001. The highest possible production values and strictest levels of quality control, including a state-of-the-art sorting table, are maintained for the domaine’s entire range of wines. The domaine’s general manager, Sylvie Poillot, has managed the winemaking team since Pierre Vincent departed for Domaine Leflaive.
