Established in 2005, Bachelet-Monnot is a relatively new presence in the Burgundy wine scene. Founded by the siblings Alex and Marc Bachelet, the domaine manages a combination of family-owned and leased vineyards, spanning across 20 appellations. This offering is sourced from ‘Les Folatières,’ a Premier Cru vineyard in the Puligny-Montrachet appellation, where the domaine owns a 0.43-hectare parcel. The nose is characterized by freshness and precision, featuring notes of melon, flint, blue flowers, and candied lemon. Elevated acidity amplifies the experience, offering a vibrant interplay of flavours such as nectarine, crisp green apple, and spiced pear.

Rising Stars

Founded by rising stars Marc and Alexandre Bachelet in 2005, Domaine Bachelet Monnot manage 10 hectares of vines in the communes in Maranges, Santenay and Puligny-Montrachet. The focus is on traditional techniques, terroir-led winemaking - 50% new oak is used for Grand Cru wines, but employed to a lesser extent for Premier Cru and Village-level wines.

Key vineyards for Bachelet Monnot in Maranges are La Fussière, which they produce in both red and white, and Clos de la Boutière. In Puligny-Montrachet, Marc and Alexandre produce Premier Crus Les Referts and Folatières along with Grand Crus Bienvenues-Bâtard Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet.
