Domaine Ramonet is undoubtedly one of the top producers of white wines in the Côte de Beaune. Established in the late 1920s by Pierre Ramonet, the estate is now run by Noël Ramonet and his brother Jean-Claude. This particular cuvée comes from the family’s parcel in ‘Les Enseignères’, a prestigious village vineyard, located just below Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. 2007 was a particularly successful vintage for white Burgundy, exuding fresh acidity, terroir-driven fruit and excellent potential to age.

Pale, bright yellow. Ripe but brisk aromas of yellow peach and lemon thyme. Richer, riper and more glyceral than the basic village Puligny, with a chewier texture. A bigger wine but a bit less harmonious today, and seriously dry on the back end.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2009
