Pouilly-Fumé de Ladoucette 1997 is a mature-vintage white wine produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the Pouilly-Fumé appellation of the Loire Valley. The largest and most famous Pouilly-Fumé vineyards have been in the hands of the Comte Lafond and Ladoucette families since 1787. Ladoucette’s wines are considered by many to be the finest Pouilly-Fumé the Loire has to offer. Over the half-century of his tenureship at Domaines de Ladoucette, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette has become one of the most influential names in the Loire Valley. De Ladoucette is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blancs, including Pouilly Fumé de Ladoucette, Comte Lafond Sancerre (Baron Patrick de Ladoucette is the great-grandson of Le Comte Lafond) and top cuvée Baron de L, which is only made in exceptional years from the best vineyard plots of the estate.

At 165ha, the estate, known as Château du Nozet, is one of the largest in the Pouilly region and produces about 10% of the wines of the entire Pouilly Fumé appellation. These wines are admired by Sauvignon Blanc lovers around the world for their extraordinary finesse and ageability.
