Named after the Maison’s most famous customer, Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill is only made in the best years. Although the exact blend is a closely guarded secret, Pinot Noir is the dominant grape variety, providing structure, breadth and vigour, whilst Chardonnay contributes with elegance and finesse. On the nose, toasted nuts, acacia blossom and honeycomb. The palate is round and creamy, against a background of fresh fruits. The finish is long and complex.

Pol Roger"s flagship Brut Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill is fabulous in 2012. Rich, open-knit and seductive, the 2012 will drink well right out of the gate, although it certainly has the pedigree to age well for decades. Lemon confit, chamomile, dried flowers, mint, spice and a kick of brioche infuse the 2012 with notable textural richness and resonance. Time in the glass brings out gorgeous aromatic lift to round things out. The 2012 is classy and polished all the way.Antonio Galloni1st November 2021

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill was launched in 1984 as the house's Prestige cuvée. Created in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, a lifelong lover of the Champagne House, the cuvée's style emulates the qualities that he preferred - robustness, a full-bodied character and relative maturity.
