Brut Réserve NV is made in the definitive Pol Roger House style, combining 30 still base wines from three vintages and based on equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay. The nose is abundant with white flowers, green apple and brioche. On the palate, there are notes of stone fruits, almonds and honey. The perfect aperitif!

Pol Roger`s just-released 2013 Brut Vintage is a beautifully chiseled, incisive wine that will appeal immensely to purists. Unwinding in the glass with scents of citrus zest, white flowers, crushed chalk and hints of fresh sourdoughs, it`s medium to full-bodied, racy and precise, with a nicely concentrated and tightly wound core, tangy acids and an elegant pinpoint mousse. After the rich, muscular 2012 vintage, the 2013 represents quite a contrast; I`m not sure we`ll see its stylistic like again for some time, so readers with classically inclined palates will want to stock up—advice I`ll be following myself. - William Kelley

(lot #591680 on bottle) Medium gold color, with a lively, energetic mousse. Toasty, leesy and loaded with orchard fruits on the nose, which also shows a waxy lanolin note reminiscent of Vouvray. Full and rich in the mouth, with flavors of buttered toast and ripe apple that are nicely supported by solid, harmonious acidity. Broad through the finish and long, with a late note of sweet pear.Josh Raynolds1st November 2005

Very powerful, emphatic nose that suggests the riches to come. Fine mousse. Clean as a whistle. A hint of crème pâtissière with a very crisp, long finish. Super-accessible already – though not for the zero-dosage brigade. (JR)

The house he founded and the Champagnes he produced went on to receive the imperial and royal warrants of the Austro-Hungarian court. Today, Pol Roger is one of just a few Champagne houses to have been awarded the

Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill was launched in 1984 as the house's Prestige cuvée. Created in homage to Sir Winston Churchill, a lifelong lover of the Champagne House, the cuvée's style emulates the qualities that he preferred - robustness, a full-bodied character and relative maturity.
