Pierre Péters Les Chétillons 2000 is a vintage blanc de blancs Champagne produced in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, France. Established in 1858, Pierre Péters is a grower champagne producer whose vineyards are located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the very heart of the Côte des Blancs. Les Chétillons Cuvée Spéciale is a blanc de blancs made with 100% Chardonnay grapes. The exceptional 2000 vintage of Les Chétillons was the first to be released as a late-disgorged cuvée. "The 2000 Brut Cuvee Speciale “Les Chetillons” is a sumptuous, opulent wine that flows with layers of smoke, licorice, lime, minerals, ripe fruit and spices, all of which are supported by a gorgeous streak of minerality. This is an exciting, racy wine that I find completely irresistible and sensual. It’s hard to say how much of this wine’s superb quality is due to the large format, but the simple fact remains that there are few more satisfying wines in the world than a fine, vintage Champagne from a top producer and site aged in magnum. Needless to say, the 2000 Cuvée Speciale “Les Chetillons” is highly recommended." Wine Advocate, 2008

The 2000 Cuvée Spéciale Les Chétillons Oenothèque, a late release from the winery, is all class, subtlety and nuance. Two extra years on the cork have added a striking array of apricot, brioche, hazelnut and baked apple notes to complement the typical floral citrus-inflected flavors that are such Chétillons signatures. Utterly pristine, vivid and captivating, the 2000 Oenothèque is a total knock-out. Disgorged December, 2013. Dosage is 5.3 grams per liter.Antonio Galloni1st August 2016

A Highly Respected Grower
Rodolphe Péters, head of Champagne Pierre Péters, is a fascinating and highly regarded grower who has around seventeen hectares of vineyards in Champagne, mostly in the Grand Crus of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Rodolphe makes bold, expressive wines that utilise a full malolactic, high temperature fermentation to balance the clean, zippy acidity naturally found in the Champagne grapes he farms.
Rodolphe's vintage bottlings now have a cult status among Champagne lovers while his non-vintage 'Cuvée de Réserve' and 'Extra Brut' are as accessible as they are delicious, made with around 30% reserve wines from a decades old solera system.
