Perbacco Nebbiolo 2023 from Vietti is a red wine from the Langhe appellation of Piedmont. This bottling is famously produced from fruit sourced from many of the same Barolo Grand Cru sites used for the estate`s top wines, including Castiglione Falletto. Winemaking involves long maceration and ageing in large Slavonian oak casks for approximately two years, similar to Barolo production. The 2023 is a structured and aromatic Nebbiolo, offering classic notes of tar, roses and red cherry with a robust tannic backbone. Often referred to as a baby Barolo, Perbacco provides the expert consumer with a high-value entry point into the world of traditional Nebbiolo, showcasing the complexity and structural integrity that define the Vietti house style across its most prestigious vineyard holdings.

The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco is a fine entry-level wine in this range. Crushed red berry fruit, chalk, mint, white pepper and orange peel give the 2023 lovely aromatic top notes. This is the first vintage that includes a newly acquired parcel on the lower part of Ravera. As is so often the case, the Vietti Langhe Nebbiolo is very much a mini-Barbaresco.
