Situated in Margaux near the village of Soussans, Château Paveil de Luze is a longstanding Bordeaux wine producer with a history dating back to 1862. The vineyards of the estate boast a composition of approximately 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. In the broader context of the wine world, the 2009 vintage garnered widespread acclaim, and France, including both Bordeaux and Sauternes, celebrated a remarkable year with the production of spectacular wines.
90 Robert Parker
A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, the 2009 is a major sleeper of the vintage. It shows impeccable balance and a great deal of power as well as finesse in its elegant cassis aromas and flavors, mixed with some cedar and floral notes. Dark ruby/purple, with medium body and impressive concentration, it should drink well for 12-15+ years.

16.5 Jancis Robinson
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot. Bottle seems a bit heavy. Gamey nose. Thick and sweet. But without much subtlety. Certainly more ambitious than most. Very chewy and dense. (JR)
