Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

(vinified entirely with whole clusters in a new 180-liter barrel made specially for the tiny quantity of fruit--18 hectoliters per hectare--produced in 2016): Good deep red. An aroma of raspberry is given lift and punch by chalky mineral pungency and a note of white pepper. Boasts outstanding thickness and finesse of texture, conveying a bulletproof quality to its fruit. Displays lovely spicy lift yet does not come across as particularly oaky--and not a bit dominated by its considerable stem component. This wine may not have quite the refinement or palate-saturating length of its 2015 sibling but it offers stunning potential.Stephen Tanzer1st January 2018

Jancis Robinson

The 2016 Musigny Grand Cru consists of a single 180-liter new barrel with 100% whole bunch fruit, so keep that in mind when requesting your allocation of a dozen magnums, preferably signed by Christophe himself. He lost around half his vines due to frost, though he confessed that this was not as much as he expected since they are located toward the upper reaches of the vineyard. It has a brilliantly defined, crystalline bouquet laden with blackberry, briary, minerals and wilted rose petal. Haunting. It is as if to say, what frost? The palate is medium-bodied with filigreed tannin, and yet there is impressive density. This is so pure and expressive, with hints of kirsch and orange peel toward the vivid finish that has almost clinical precision. The wake of the aftertaste is that of an ocean liner charging across the Atlantic. The quality of this Musigny is inversely proportional to its quantity.Neal Martin29th December 2017

Domaine Georges Roumier

A Icon of Fine Burgundy

One of Burgundy's most famous producers - founded in 1924 by Georges Roumier, the domaine was passed to his son Jean-Marie in 1957 and eventually on to his grandson Christophe in the early 1990s. Vines are either rented from family members or managed on a share-cropping basis and the cellar team operate a dynamic approach to winemaking, subtly altering their techniques depending on the vineyard and vintage. Some fruit is fully destemmed before fermentation while some is partially destemmed. A cool maceration takes place before fermentation, which takes place in wooden vats, and punch downs happen twice a day. Use of new oak is judicious - only around 20% for the village wines, 35% for the Premier Crus and 50% for the Grand Crus.

If Georges Roumier only produced Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Clos St Denis, the winery would still be considered one of the greatest in Burgundy, but their other-worldly Musigny Grand Cru elevates their status among the great wineries of France to legendary.
