The Monthélie Rouge Coche-Dury 2013 is a red Burgundy made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Monthélie appellation. Domaine Coche-Dury offers a precise interpretation of this terroir. The 2013 vintage, notable for its climatic challenges, presents a nose characterised by delicate red fruit aromas, alongside subtle earthy undertones. On the palate, this wine displays medium body, with soft tannins and a balanced structure, allowing for an expressive yet understated profile.

The 2013 Monthélie Villages has a carefree and floral bouquet: wilted rose petals infusing the lucid red cherry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin and fine structure. This is easy-drinking in style, but don't ignore the structure and tension here. It is less opulent than the 2013 Auxey-Duresses and yet just as nuanced.Neal Martin29th January 2016
