Roulot Meursault 2011 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Meursault appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Roulot is one of the leading wine properties in Meursault, with numerous holdings across the appellation’s Premier Cru sites. Originally founded in 1830, the domaine is currently run by actor and winemaker Jean-Marc Roulot. This is the domaine`s 2011 village Meursault, which is now entering its prime drinkiung window.

Pale, bright, green-tinged yellow. Lively aromas of lime, menthol and dusty stone. Lemon-limey and precise, with modest flesh and give but noteworthy purity and cut. The spicy, almost peppery finish displays very good clarity and lift. (Incidentally, I can also recommend Roulot's 2011 Aligote and Bourgogne Blanc bottlings, the former citrussy, saline and brisk and the latter more stony but ultimately supple and very easy to drink.)Stephen Tanzer1st September 2013
