Domaine Coche-Dury is a highly regarded Burgundy producer, which origins go back to the 1920s. Today, the estate is led by Raphaël Coche-Dury and consists of approximately nine hectares, predominantly in and around their winery in Meursault. This particular release comes from Perrières, a premier cru vineyard situated at the southern end of Meursault – considered by many to be the best terroir of the region. The 2006 vintage is showing remarkable tension and power, with fruit and floral notes intertwined, together with gravel and honeysuckle. Tremendous intensity on the palate, with a refreshing minerality coming to the fore.

Pale color. Reticent but pure aromas of minerals, crushed stone and spices. Extremely backward and hard to taste today, like sucking on a mouthful of rocks. Very minerally calcaire-driven wine with terrific aging potential. But the Genevrieres will give pleasure earlier.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2008
