Vinous
Reticent nose hints at soft citrus fruits, honey and licorice; less aromatic than the Genevrieres and more burned by the sun. In a distinctly penetrating, dry style, and not showing the generosity of the vintage's best examples. This was also austere a year ago, but today I don't find enough supporting minerality to be optimistic about the wine's future development in bottle.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2005

The World's Greatest Chardonnay?
Top Burgundy producer Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche. Now under the stewardship of son, Raphaël, the Coches farm nearly 9 hectares of vineyards across six communes: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volnay.
The Domaine is celebrated for its superb and highly acclaimed Chardonnay including Meursault Perrières, Meursault Les Chevalières, Corton Charlemagne and Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères. With tiny yields and meticulous wine making, the Coche-Dury name is truly iconic on the Burgundy stage.
