The 1992 Meursault Les Rougeots sports a deep straw hue. The nose feels fully mature with scents of dried honey, beeswax and dandelion, although it is not quite as delineated as the 1992 Perrières. But the palate is actually better than the aromatics with a fine bead of acidity and pretty citrus fruits that develop wild mushroom and peppery scents with aeration. It just fades a touch on the finish and does not deliver the length that Coche-Dury’s Premier Crus achieved this vintage. Tasted at Tour d’Argent restaurant in Paris. Neal Martin1st July 2018

The World's Greatest Chardonnay?

Top Burgundy producer Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche. Now under the stewardship of son, Raphaël, the Coches farm nearly 9 hectares of vineyards across six communes: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volnay.

The Domaine is celebrated for its superb and highly acclaimed Chardonnay including Meursault Perrières, Meursault Les Chevalières, Corton Charlemagne and Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères. With tiny yields and meticulous wine making, the Coche-Dury name is truly iconic on the Burgundy stage.
