Meursault Les Luchets Roulot 2015 is a white Burgundy crafted from Chardonnay grapes sourced exclusively from the Les Luchets lieu-dit vineyard in Meursault, Côte de Beaune. This wine originates from a specific parcel of approximately 0.30 hectares, benefiting from the region`s characteristic clay-limestone soils. Domaine Roulot, established in the 19th century, is renowned for its meticulous approach to viticulture and vinification, maintaining a focus on terroir expression. The 2015 vintage exhibits the vineyard`s typical minerality, along with notes of citrus and white stone fruit, revealing the nature of this distinct site.
90 Vinous
Very ripe, musky stone fruit aromas come across as a bit less lively than those of the Meix Chavaux and perhaps more typical of this very warm vintage. Distinctly more yellow-fruity and spicy in the mouth, showing less extract richness but a supple texture and a touch of warmth. This wine appears to be evolving faster than the Meix Chavaux and should drink earlier.

Cask sample. He has more than 1 ha; his biggest holding. Only four owners here. Starting to go uphill. Not much nose yet. But very broad appeal on the palate. It just needs a little more tension. (JR)
