The Meursault La Goutte d`Or Arnaud Ente 2013 is a Premier Cru white Burgundy made entirely from Chardonnay. Sourced from the esteemed Les Goutte d`Or vineyard in Meursault, this wine exemplifies the meticulous farming practices of Arnaud Ente, a producer known for his small-scale, terroir-driven approach. The 2013 vintage displays a nose with distinct elements of lemon zest, green apple and a notable stony minerality, accompanied by delicate hints of white flowers. The palate is characterised by sharp acidity and a focused, lean structure, culminating in a long, saline finish.

Bright yellow. Riper and gentler on the nose than the bracing Petits Charrons, offering fruit-driven aromas of white peach, lemon and lime. Dense and sweet in the mouth, in a distinctly fruity style but with good salty minerality contributing to an impression of concentration. The salty quality gives the finish a chewy character. This is the highest in alcohol of these 2013s at 12.9% and also represents the highest yield, at 27 hectoliters per hectare.

Balance and Complexity

A leading light in Meursault, Burgundy, Arnaud Ente and his wife, Marie-Odile craft exquisite micro-production Burgundies that easily compete with the finest in the region. The Domaine owns four hectares which are managed with a very small and hands-on team. The key grape varieties here are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, used to produce stand out Meursault, Puligny Montrachet and Bourgogne Pinot Noir that are renowned for their precision and elegance.

The style has tended towards the opulent, with late picking for fuller ripeness being a key part of Arnaud's philosophy in the 1990s. More recently though the wines have presented with greater levels of freshness and minerality as the winemaking practices have changed and evolved.
