Meursault Henri Boillot 2023 is a Chardonnay from the Meursault appellation of Burgundy. This wine exemplifies the producer`s commitment to traditional methods and a terroir-driven approach. The palate reveals flavours of ripe white fruits underpinned by a flinty minerality characteristic of the Meursault soils. The wine possesses a rich texture, complemented by well-defined acidity that contributes to its structure.
Vinous
The 2023 Meursault is racy and open-knit, qualities that make it an absolute joy to taste today. Lemon confit, white flowers, marzipan, spice and orange confit build nicely in the glass. A wine of harmony, the 2023 will be pretty hard to resist on release.Antonio Galloni1st February 2025

Father and Son

In some ways, Henri Boillot has one foot in the past and one in the present. His family domaine, which he manages with his son Guillaume, has a history dating back to the 1880s, but the wines produced from their Meursault-based winery are undeniably modern, approachable and ranked among some of the very best in the region. Alongside operating a highly successful négociant business, the Boillot family own around 14 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Beaune including a Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru monopole in the form of Clos de la Mouchère.

The winery don't shy away from the use of new oak and any overtly woody character is generally well balanced by ripe fruit. The Chardonnays range from citrus driven and fresher at the villages level all the way to ripe, tropical and creamy at the Grand Cru level. The reds are lighter and more elegant than they used to be with Henri's son Guillaume preferring a less extracted style of Pinot Noir.
