The 2005 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières from Domaine Coche-Dury showcases the complexities of exceptional Premier Cru white Burgundy from the estimable Domaine Coche-Dury. This vintage is noted for its crystalline purity and pronounced minerality. This wine displays aromas of white peach, lemon zest and a subtle reduction, which contributes to its character. On the palate, the wine is distinguished by its understated acidity and structured finish, presenting depth without heaviness.

Vinous
The 2005 Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru has a similar "crushed stone" element on the nose, albeit not as pronounced as the Les Chevaliers poured alongside. This is quite Perrières in style, very refined and poised, with scents of lemon verbena and hints of kaki fruit. The palate is brilliant. It's perfectly poised with an absolute killer line of acidity. Astounding electricity and nervosité run through this Meursault with a long saline aftertaste. Tasted at the Meursault dinner in Hong Kong. Neal Martin25th June 2024
