Vinous
(just five barrels made, from vines planted in 1946) Ripe aromas of lime and minerals. Dense and broad but with lovely perfume; smells like a perfectly ripe peach. Impressively fat for a 2004. Finishes full and very long.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2006

The World's Greatest Chardonnay?
Top Burgundy producer Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche. Now under the stewardship of son, Raphaël, the Coches farm nearly 9 hectares of vineyards across six communes: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volnay.
The Domaine is celebrated for its superb and highly acclaimed Chardonnay including Meursault Perrières, Meursault Les Chevalières, Corton Charlemagne and Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères. With tiny yields and meticulous wine making, the Coche-Dury name is truly iconic on the Burgundy stage.
