(Narvaux) Pure, discreet aromas of candied fruits and minerals. Juicy, taut and minerally, with terrific precision and grip. Long and stony on the back end. Serious juice, and precise for the vintage.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2003

Quite incredible quality for a nine year-old village wine. Lots of struck match fuminess. Wonderful vibrancy but no meanness. Lots of ripe fruit and undertow with super-brisk acidity. All smoke and a little fire in the nicest possible way. Leftovers in an almost empty bottle were still great 24 hours afterwards. (JR)Jancis Robinson10th January 2010
