(Narvaux) Pure, discreet aromas of candied fruits and minerals. Juicy, taut and minerally, with terrific precision and grip. Long and stony on the back end. Serious juice, and precise for the vintage.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2003

Quite incredible quality for a nine year-old village wine.  Lots of struck match fuminess.  Wonderful vibrancy but no meanness.  Lots of ripe fruit and undertow with super-brisk acidity.  All smoke and a little fire in the nicest possible way.  Leftovers in an almost empty bottle were still great 24 hours afterwards. The World's Greatest Chardonnay?

Top Burgundy producer Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche. Now under the stewardship of son, Raphaël, the Coches farm nearly 9 hectares of vineyards across six communes: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volnay.

The Domaine is celebrated for its superb and highly acclaimed Chardonnay including Meursault Perrières, Meursault Les Chevalières, Corton Charlemagne and Puligny Montrachet Les Enseignères. With tiny yields and meticulous wine making, the Coche-Dury name is truly iconic on the Burgundy stage.
