Discover the 2023 Meursault Clos Saint-Félix from Domaine Michelot, a distinct white Burgundy crafted exclusively from Chardonnay. This wine originates from the Clos Saint-Félix vineyard, a monopole owned entirely by Domaine Michelot, situated in Meursault, Côte de Beaune. Spanning 1.86 hectares, the vineyard features clay-limestone soils that contribute to its unique profile. The 2023 vintage presents a nose marked by yellow apple, pear, and floral notes layered with hints of toasted nuts. The palate is rounded, offering orchard fruit, with a well-defined acidity that highlights the vineyard’s characteristics.

Domaine Michelot has been owned and operated by the Michelot family for six generations and now comprises more than 19 hectares, including a number of notable Premier Crus in Meursault. The domaine is primarily recognised for the quality of their Chardonnays, which see a 6 - 12 hour cold pre-soak before fermentation, including malolactic. The finished wines are aged for 10 - 12 months in oak barrels, with around 15% being new oak, before they are blended in tank and rested for a further 5 - 6 months.

The village level wines are excellent, with an approachable ripeness, but it's the Premier Cru wines that truly show off the quality of the winemaking. The team producer four wines from argaubly Meursault's greatest hillside vineyards - Poruzot, Charmes, Genevrières and Perrières.
