Meursault Clos des Ambres Arnaud Ente 2013 is a Chardonnay sourced entirely from the Clos des Ambres vineyard in Meursault, Côte de Beaune. Arnaud Ente, known for his meticulous farming practices, manages this vineyard as a de facto monopole, ensuring careful handling of its clay-limestone soils. The 2013 vintage reveals a subtle bouquet of lemon zest and green apple, accompanied by a chalky minerality. On tasting, it presents a linear mouthfeel and lively acidity, evidencing the vintage’s cooler character and Ente`s precise winemaking philosophy.

Balance and Complexity

A leading light in Meursault, Burgundy, Arnaud Ente and his wife, Marie-Odile craft exquisite micro-production Burgundies that easily compete with the finest in the region. The Domaine owns four hectares which are managed with a very small and hands-on team. The key grape varieties here are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, used to produce stand out Meursault, Puligny Montrachet and Bourgogne Pinot Noir that are renowned for their precision and elegance.

The style has tended towards the opulent, with late picking for fuller ripeness being a key part of Arnaud's philosophy in the 1990s. More recently though the wines have presented with greater levels of freshness and minerality as the winemaking practices have changed and evolved.
