Yves Boyer Martenot is a wine estate covering approximately 10 hectares in spread across various appellations of the Côte de Beaune. The family-owned Domaine is currently managed by Vincent Boyer, a hard-working vigneron focused on quality over quantity. This particular cuvée hails from ‘Les Charmes’, one of Meursault`s largest and best-known Premier Cru vineyards. The wine is typically very perfumed with floral aromas, combined with almonds and spices.

(regular bottling) Rather closed nose hints at mint and nuts; austere from the filtration, says Boyer. Then fresh and fairly intensely flavored, with lemon and mineral notes and a nutty suggestion of hazelnut on the finish. Began a bit lean but opened nicely with aeration to show more texture and length.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2002
