Meursault Arnaud Ente 2018 is a Chardonnay from the Meursault village appellation, sourced from Domaine Arnaud Ente’s approximately 4 hectares of holdings, with a significant proportion from the lieu-dit En l`Ormeau. This bottling, from magnum, presents a precise bouquet of pear, orange oil and wheat toast, framed by a delicate hint of youthful reduction. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a satiny, incisive texture and a core of racy acidity, showing remarkable freshness for such a ripe vintage. Its large format facilitates a slower maturation, allowing for further development of its complex character.

Balance and Complexity

A leading light in Meursault, Burgundy, Arnaud Ente and his wife, Marie-Odile craft exquisite micro-production Burgundies that easily compete with the finest in the region. The Domaine owns four hectares which are managed with a very small and hands-on team. The key grape varieties here are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, used to produce stand out Meursault, Puligny Montrachet and Bourgogne Pinot Noir that are renowned for their precision and elegance.

The style has tended towards the opulent, with late picking for fuller ripeness being a key part of Arnaud's philosophy in the 1990s. More recently though the wines have presented with greater levels of freshness and minerality as the winemaking practices have changed and evolved.
