Roulot Meursault A Mon Plaisir Clos du Haut Tesson 2017 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Meursault appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Based in Meursault, Domaine Roulot is a highly regarded estate producing mainly white Burgundy. Since 1989 the domaine is run by Jean-Marc Roulot, who took charge after working for several years as film and TV actor. This is Jean-Marc`s 2017 wine from the lieu-dit of Clos du Haut Tesson – a wine which would give many a Meursault Premier Cru a run for their money. "Tesson faces east, unlike the cooler terroirs in the Roulot portfolio, and is picked three days before Les Luchets. It`s a weightier, more intense wine with a fatter, creamier lees character, showing aromatic baking spices, understated oak and a taut, feline finish." Decanter, 2018
Vinous
- Healthy pale yellow. Some sexy leesy nuances to the fresh peach and hazelnut aromas. A step up in vinosity from the Grands Charrons, with peach and apricot flavors accompanied by sexy nutty tones. Offers lovely balance and freshness and finishes firm, with a tactile, lightly tannic impression. Fresh acidity gives grip to the back end.
