The 2016 Meursault À Mon Plaisir Clos du Haut Tesson from Domaine Roulot is a white Burgundy crafted entirely from Chardonnay. This wine comes exclusively from the Clos du Haut Tesson vineyard – Domaine Roulot’s monopole, located on a gentle slope with clay-limestone soils in Meursault. On the nose, it reveals notes of lemon zest, green apple and white flower, alongside hints of hazelnut. The palate showcases a balanced acidity and a mineral backbone, reflecting the vineyard’s unique characteristics. Domaine Roulot is recognised for its meticulous vineyard practices and low-intervention winemaking.

Vinous
- Green-tinged yellow. Piquant lime zest and mineral aromas. Lively and sharply delineated but also displays excellent depth and salty minerality, with its limey acidity giving it a compellingly juicy character. Finishes tactile and long. Lots of potential here. These vines, planted between 1958 and 1962, produced just under 30 hectoliters per hectare in 2016, which assistant Baudin described as not a disaster in terms of yield in 2016. He noted that the wine Roulot makes from this favored site is typically between the estate's lieux-dits and premier crus in quality. (By the way, Roulot pulled up his Meursault Les Tillets for replanting after the 2015 harvest.)
