Founded in 2007, micro-négociant Olivier Bernstein has rapidly established himself as one of the newer stars of Burgundy with a sensational range of old-vine reds from seven Grands and three Premiers Crus of the Côte de Nuits.
Hailing from a single vineyard in the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, this wine reflects the terroir’s unique characteristics. Bernstein, known for sourcing fruit from low-yielding vines, emphasises authenticity and expression in his wines. The 2010 vintage offers notes of dark cherries and earthy undertones, with a complex structure and moderate tannins. It is designed for ageing, revealing its true character over time.

Vinous
Good bright ruby-red. Nobly wild aromas and flavors of blackberry compote, smoked meat, licorice and violet. Silky, dense and opulent but with perfectly harmonious acidity giving the seamless mid-palate an intensely sappy character. Finishes with an impressive spine of acids and refined tannins but comes off as a bit less tough than the Bonnes-Mares and Clos de la Roche. Splendid grand cru.
