Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley is one of the leading wine producers in Burgundy. It was founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and is currently run by seventh-generation Eve and Erwan Faiveley. This release comes from Mazis-Chambertin, the northernmost Grand Cru vineyard in Côte de Nuits. The year 1999 marked an outstanding vintage in Burgundy, yielding exceptional wines in both the red and white categories, and these wines are currently showing their full potential.

Vinous
Full deep red. Aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, rose petal and subtle oak spices. Silky and concentrated, with sappy, oaky red fruit and floral flavors nicely framed by fresh acids. Long, fruit-driven finish features ripe tannins and a chewy impression of extract. Strong juice.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2002
