The 2008 Mas de Daumas Gassac Blanc evokes aromas of tender, ripened yellow fruits such as plums and peaches, accompanied by subtle hints of honey and herbs. Its palate unfolds with notes of peaches, followed by hints of caramel and ginger. It is complemented by a fresh acidity, contributing to its overall elegance and extended finish.

As we didn't have a review of the 2008 Rouge VDP de l'Herault in the RPWA database, I figured it might be of interest to collectors who are resisting checking in on their own stash at age ten. At 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, it's a pretty typical assemblage. It shows classy pencil shavings, tobacco and cassis on the nose, ample weight on the palate and silky tannins. It remains fresh and long on the finish, a lovely example of Mas de Daumas Gassac, with seemingly plenty of life ahead of it.Joe Czerwinski27th April 2018

The 2008 Rouge cannot keep up with the two surrounding vintages. Although it shows lovely complexity on the nose with dried lavender, cranberry, cassis, and tobacco, the 2008 lacks concentration on the medium-bodied palate. A polished finish rounds it all up.Nicolas Greinacher24th July 2024
