Château Lynch-Bages 2015 is a Bordeaux blend from a renowned Pauillac Fifth Growth. This blend primarily consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot contributing complexity. The wine displays a deep garnet hue while offering aromatic notes of blackcurrant, plum, tobacco and hints of spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a robust structure, presenting firm tannins and a lingering finish. The vineyard, located in the heart of the Médoc region, benefits from gravelly soils that enhance drainage, crucial for ripening grapes. Lynch-Bages has a legacy of crafting wines since the 18th century.

The 2015 Lynch-Bages has an intense nose of black fruit, cedar and pencil box aromas. This is muted at first but it only takes a few swirls to unleash the aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with grainy tannins, real depth and grip. This has dispensed with some of its surliness and there is now more brightness toward the finish. The 2015 is excellent. Neal Martin3rd June 2025

Slate and cocoa bean on the opening, delicious wine, soft rose petals, bilberry and cassis fruit, waves of black tea and steely tannins, great quality, not quite the depth through the mid palate of the 2014 or 2016, but this is full of Pauillac signature and will age well. 75% new oak, Daniel Llhose technical director.Jane Anson19th February 2025

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Lynch Bages offers up crushed black berries, black cherries and dried herbs with an earthy undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate is firm and taut with lively fruit and a chewy finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

The Modern Pauillac

Situated in the celebrated Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux, Château Lynch Bages uses around 60% of its 100 hectares to produce its first wine (a 5th growth in the 1855 classification) in addition to producing a second red, Echo de Lynch Bages. These wines display superb Cabernet Sauvignon character, together with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot making up the blend. A wonderful example of the power and elegance of truly great Pauillac: gloriously supple and smooth with a tannic backbone.

A white wine, known as Blanc de Lynch Bages, is also produced in very small quantities. Made from an elegant blend of the classic white Bordeaux varietals, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle, the resulting wines display exhilarating freshness and dried apricot complexity.
