Les Forts de Latour 2004 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. First produced in 1966, Les Forts de Latour is the second wine from the world-renowned Château Latour, which produces three red wines in total. The 2004 expression is a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot. "Deep garnet coloured, the 2004 is intensely perfumed of warm blackcurrant, pencil lead, black olives and a hint of dried Mediterranean herbs. The palate is drinking nicely now with a firm structure balanced by plenty of mid-palate flesh and finishing long." Wine Advocate, 2012

Deep red. Aromas of blueberry, plum, leather, tobacco and mocha. Sweet, plummy and pliant, with a creamy, fine-grained texture for the vintage. Very plush wine, richer than the 2006 and at least as long. Finishes with big but ripe tannins.

A Towering First Growth

Situated on the Bordeaux's Left Bank in the appellation of Pauillac, this superb First Growth is produced from the estate's 92ha of vines, spread across 138 plots, (47 hectares of which are located in renowned 'L'Enclos'). The clay and gravel soils give superbly concentrated, textural Cabernet Sauvignon dominant reds, with Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc making up the blend.

The estate also produces two further celebrated reds, Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac de Latour. Certified organic since 2018, biodynamic techniques are also used in the vineyard.
