Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Lascombes 2009 is a Second Growth Margaux red from a historic solar vintage. This 2009 bottling is a blend of 48% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, reflecting a modern style characterised by high ripeness and significant extraction. It delivers an expressive profile of black cherry liqueur, espresso and violets, supported by a velvety tannic structure and a persistent, spicy finish. A hedonistic expression of the Medoc, balancing its powerful Mediterranean weight with the natural elegance and floral aromatics characteristic of the Margaux appellation.

The 2009 Lascombes is blessed with a classy, very well defined, cedar and forest floor scented bouquet with seamlessly integrated oak. This has real style and panache. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a silky smooth texture with sweet black cherry, boysenberry, white pepper and cedar notes. 16.5 Jancis Robinson

Very dark crimson. Sweet malted milk plus linseed oil. Very sweet start and then lusciously worked tannins. A bit Napa Valley rather than Margaux but there is lots of pleasure here. Just rather awkward tannins on the finish. (JR)

Chateau Lascombes

Modern Margaux

Château Lascombes has a rich history that dates back to the 17th century when it was owned by the Durfort de Duras family. In the 18th century, the property was acquired by the Lascombes family, who gave the estate its current name. Throughout the years, Chateau Lascombes has undergone significant changes in ownership and management. In the mid-19th century, the property was acquired by the English merchant, Alexander Lawton, who expanded the vineyards and modernized the winemaking facilities. In the 1950s, the estate was purchased by the Tari family, who continued to invest in the property and improve its quality. In 2001, Chateau Lascombes was sold to the American investment firm, Colony Capital, who implemented further upgrades and modernizations.

Today, Chateau Lascombes is a 117-hectare estate with 50 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are planted with a blend of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, and are situated on well-drained gravelly soils that are ideal for producing high-quality wines. The winemaking process at Chateau Lascombes is characterized by a combination of traditional and modern techniques, with a focus on producing wines that are rich, complex, and expressive of their terroir.
