Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The 2008 Château Lascombes is a Second Growth estate wine from Margaux. This mature wine was crafted during a year of variable weather patterns that ultimately produced notable wines. With its 120-hectare vineyard, Château Lascombes is known for its fragmented plots, which include gravel mounds for Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, alongside clay-gravel and clay-limestone areas predominantly planted to Merlot. This vintage is a blend of approximately 54% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine is characterised by its rich, layered texture and flavours of black fruits, earthiness and understated oak.

Another incredibly successful sleeper of the vintage, the 2008 Lascombes confirms just how many top 2008s were produced. A dark plum/ruby/purple-tinged color is followed by a sexy, up-front perfume of forest floor, damp earth, blue and red fruits and a touch of spicy oak. Lush with low acidity and sweet tannin, it appears to be a bigger version of the stunning 2008 Malescot St.-Exupery. Drink it over the next 15 or more years – it is well-worth buying by the case.

The 2008 Lascombes felt smudged and lacked complexity on the nose compared to its peers, open-knit, enjoyable but it is missing a sense of terroir. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with fine tannin and well judged acidity, notes of black plum and a smear of cassis. Château Lascombes has a rich history that dates back to the 17th century when it was owned by the Durfort de Duras family. In the 18th century, the property was acquired by the Lascombes family, who gave the estate its current name. Throughout the years, Chateau Lascombes has undergone significant changes in ownership and management. In the mid-19th century, the property was acquired by the English merchant, Alexander Lawton, who expanded the vineyards and modernized the winemaking facilities. In the 1950s, the estate was purchased by the Tari family, who continued to invest in the property and improve its quality. In 2001, Chateau Lascombes was sold to the American investment firm, Colony Capital, who implemented further upgrades and modernizations.

Today, Chateau Lascombes is a 117-hectare estate with 50 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are planted with a blend of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, and are situated on well-drained gravelly soils that are ideal for producing high-quality wines. The winemaking process at Chateau Lascombes is characterized by a combination of traditional and modern techniques, with a focus on producing wines that are rich, complex, and expressive of their terroir.
