This Lanson Noble Cuvée is a vintage release made from grapes harvested in the 1988 growing season, which was marked by a cool and damp summer followed by a warm and dry September, allowing for optimal ripening of the grapes. The blend consists primarily of Chardonnay, with a smaller proportion of Pinot Noir, sourced from some of the best vineyards in the region. On the nose, the wine presents aromas of ripe orchard fruits, citrus, honey and toasted brioche. The palate is well-structured and balanced, with a lively acidity and an elegant mousse. Notes of lemon zest, green apple, and a touch of toasted almonds are present, along with a mineral edge.

The 1988 Brut Cuvée Noble caresses the palate with tangerine oil, coffee, mint, spice, orange peel and candied apricot. Rich and layered, with soft contours, the 1988 is a timeless, expressive beauty. The soft, silky mousse adds to the wine's refined personality. Antonio Galloni25th November 2025

Disgorged June 2000. Dosage 9 g/l. 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir.Deep straw. Quite a rich nose, with slightly beery/yeasty aromas. Non classic but very ambitious. Uncompromisingly dry but this would make a great food wine. For purists. (JR)Jancis Robinson28th August 2017
